Bailey bridge transom  is one  component of the bridge deck .

1.Bailey bridge transom : 

on the transom, there are four groups of clops, for limiting the position of stringer, with short post welded on two ends for connecting raker, and three sockets on the bottom surface of two ends respectively. While installing the transom, put the socket on the bolt onto the transom pad of the lower truss chord member, and position the transom on the truss. The interval of sockets is the same as the truss. After positioning the transom, the interval of truss is relatively fastened. 

2. Bailey bridge transom bolt & nut :

it comprises three parts as brace, hanging beam and supporting rod, used for fastening transom. On the brace top, there is a raised head, to be put into the nick of the transom pad while installing. One end of the hanging beam catches on the slotted hole of the truss montant, turn the supporting rod with push rod (or wrench) to press upon and fasten the transom. The transom bolt & nut may not bear too much upward load; therefore, while the transom is held by jig, no jacking is allowed to use under the transom. Refer to the follow chart  for fastening the transom. The transom bolt & nut may not bear too much upward load; therefore, while the transom is held by jig, no jacking is allowed to use under the transom.
